Servo Berkel Prior B.V. is recognised by the Ministry of Economic Affairs as a "Recognised Inspector" for the carrying out of all necessary work regarding inspection and calibration with weighing equipment. This applies to both non-automatic weighing instruments and the most common automatic weighing instruments.
Servo Berkel Prior is also an organisation recognised by Verispect for the checking of scales for commercial purposes. As evidence of approval, scales that have been checked by Servo Berkel Prior are given the official Verispect authorisation sticker.
Marking with a seal
According to the current European legislation on calibration, there is a duty to mark all calibrated weighing instruments with a seal. As a Recognised Inspector, Servo Berkel Prior is authorised to break this seal to adjust or repair the scales. Then Servo Berkel Prior is authorised to attach a new seal. Before this new seal is attached, we first perform a new inspection of the weighing instrument.
Types of scales
The following weighing instruments are subject to the above-mentioned authorisation: Calibrated non-automatic weighing instruments with a maximum weighing capacity of 100 kg in Class II and 100 tonnes in Class III, weighing machines for weighing out R61 and weighing machines for weighing R51.
