Duplex scales are the world famous product manufactured by Servo Berkel Prior and used in factories everywhere for weighing both solids and fluids. Every system is adjusted to suit the type of product to be weighed, the bulk density and the running properties. Systems can be supplied with capacities from between 5 and 3000 tons per hour.
- Our Duplex scales are developed and manufactured according to the latest OE and GMP requirements and correctly calibrated according to European standards. Made-to-measure Duplex scales are not "specials" as far as we are concerned.
- Our Duplex scales are suitable for weighing fluids such as sugars, molasses, chemicals, cocoa butter and oils.
- For these applications the Duplex scales are fitted with tanks and butterfly valves.
- Our Duplex scales are suitable for weighing solids including sugar, granules, grain, potato meal (fatty), floury products, fish, potatoes, salt, soda, artificial fertilizer, cocoa beans, etc. For these applications the Duplex scales are fitted with single or double segment valves in the feeder or weighing container.
- Each set of Duplex scales is fitted with the unique Servo Berkel Prior hybrid weighing system with either one load cell or is fully electronic with three load cells (9 can be supplied on request), These hybrid weighing systems ensure high levels of weighing accuracy and are not sensitive to external influences such as vibration, etc.
- These scales are fitted with an automatic testing facility complete with racks and containers for easy checking and calibrating.
- ATEX approved construction can also be supplied.
- The scales can be supplied with a painted steel finish, or constructed entirely from stainless steel grades 304 and 316 (L).
- The level of accuracy of the Duplex Scales is 0.2 % or better, which is based on an average of 10 consecutive weight measurements.
- The scales can also be supplied with a control cabinet with a weight control indicator for recording the weights that have already been measured in an alibi memory that is transferred to a PLC or PC (serial, Ethernet or Profibus) - a web server is also available.
- Printers can also be linked to the weight indicator and for printing out alphanumeric texts (customer or product data), date and time, the weighing serial numbers, subtotals and overall totals for example.
